Post-Op Rehabilitation Protocols
The week-by-week plan I ask your physical therapist to follow after an operation. Each one prints on a few pages with a QR code back to this site, so your therapist always has the current version. Print it, download the PDF, or have it emailed to you or to your therapist.
A framework, not a prescription. Your therapist sets the pace from how you are healing, and what we discussed in the office takes precedence over anything printed here.
Written for therapists. The protocols use the shorthand physical therapists use; a short glossary is printed under each one.
Where they come from. Most are adapted, with the source named on every page, from the post-operative protocols published by William Beaumont Army Medical Center, where Dr. Wey trained. Army-specific wording was replaced with civilian equivalents.
